FBLF Scholarship Recipients
Ayana Acosta
Ayana Acosta received a $1,500 scholarship from the Frost-Briggs Legacy Fund (FBLF) for the 2025/2026 academic year. Ayana was a business major and graduated with the class of 2026. She plans to continue her education and pursue a career in the health field.
Kentral Mahone
Kentral Mahone received a $1,500 FBLF scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic year. He is a Freshman from McKinney, TX. Kentrel plans to major in Social Work.
Kafaniah Douglas
Jarvis Christian University University awarded the first Frost-Briggs scholarship, for the 2023/2024 academic year, to Kafaniah Douglas. The awardee was a freshman majoring in Nursing. She is from Killeen, Texas and participated in the ESSP program. Her JCU GPA is 3.2 and her high school GPA was a 2.9. The scholarship was $2,500.

Hariklia Sotelo
The Frost-Briggs Legacy Fund (FBLF) Scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic year was awarded to Hariklia Sotelo, a graduating senior from Weslaco, Texas. The scholarship award was $2,500.
Hariklia was a Biology major with a GPA of 3.466. FBLF endeavors to support students in their senior year who require “last mile” financial support to graduate.
